Andhra Pradesh Food Security Rules, 2017 ACT Amendments GO.MS.No.12, dated:02.12.2019 :
The Government of AP issue the amendments to the Andhra Pradesh Food Security Rules, 2017, (National Food Security Act, 2013) as indicated in the notification as follows and issued G.O.Ms.No.12, CONSUMER AFFAIRS, FOOD AND CIVIL SUPPLIES (CS.I) DEPARTMENT, Dated:02-12-2019.

NOTIFICATION
In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of Section 40 of the National Food Security Act, 2013 (No.20 of 2013), the Governor of Andhra Pradesh hereby makes the following amendments to the Andhra Pradesh Food Security Rules, 2017 issued in the G.O.Ms.No.8, CAF & CS (CS.I) Department, dated18-04-2017 and as amended subsequently from time to time:-
AMENDMENTS
In the said rules,
a)In Rule 3, after sub rule 2 (b), the following shall be inserted:
(i)In rural areas, households having income upto Rs.10,000/- per month i.e., Rs.1.20 lakh per year and in urban areas upto Rs.12,000/- per month i.e., Rs.1.44 lakh per year from all sources income.
(ii)Households having agriculture land not exceeding 10 acres dry or 3 acres wet or total land both dry and wet together not exceeding 10 acres.”
b)In Rule 3, sub Rule 2 (c)
i)In Rural area, item (i) shall be substituted with the following :
“Household having land more than 10 acres dry or more than 3 acres wet or more than 10 acres wet and dry together “.
ii)In Rural area, item (iv) shall be substituted with the following :
“Households having own motorized four wheeler shall be excluded. However, households having Taxies, Auto and Tractors used for agriculture purpose are eligible.”
iii)In Rural area, item( v) shall be substituted with the following :
“Households having own or rented house with average monthly electricity consumption of more than 300 units of residential category.”
iv)In Urban area, item (iii) shall be substituted with the following :
” Households having own motorized four wheeler or above shall be excluded. However, households having Taxies, Auto and Tractors used for agriculture purpose are eligible.”
v)In Urban area, item (iv) shall be substituted with the following :
“Household having own or rented house with monthly electricity consumption of more than 300 units of residential category.”
c)In Rule 3, sub Rule 2 (d);
i)In Rural area, item (v) shall be substituted with the following:
“Households of Sweeper / Sanitation worker / Rehabilitated Safai karamchari including these workers working in government sector irrespective of salary or mode of recruitment.”
ii)In Urban area, item (v) shall be substituted with the following:
“Households of Sweeper / Sanitation worker / Rehabilitated Safai karamchari including these workers working in government sector irrespective of salary or mode of recruitment.”:
